Frequently Asked Questions

Expert support for your precision cycling components.

What makes Chris King bearings different from other manufacturers?

We manufacture our own bearings in-house in Portland, Oregon. This allows us to control the quality and tolerance of every component, resulting in bearings that get faster over time and are fully serviceable for a lifetime of use.

How do I register my product for the King Lifetime Warranty?

You can register your components directly on our website using the serial number found on your headset, hub, or bottom bracket. Our Lifetime Warranty covers manufacturing defects for the original owner.

What is the recommended service interval for my hubs?

For optimal performance, we recommend a basic cleaning and re-greasing every 6-12 months depending on riding conditions. In wet or muddy environments, more frequent service will ensure your RingDrive system stays engaged and reliable.

Do you offer international shipping for replacement parts?

Yes, we ship our precision components and small parts globally. Shipping rates and delivery times are calculated at checkout based on your specific location and preferred carrier.

Can I upgrade my older Chris King hubs to a different axle standard?

Many of our hub designs are modular. We offer conversion kits for various axle standards (such as QR to Thru-axle). Please check our fitment guides or contact our technical support team to verify compatibility for your specific hub generation.

What is your return policy for web store orders?

We accept returns on unused, uninstalled items in their original packaging within 30 days of purchase. Please note that custom-built wheels or components that have been pressed into a frame are not eligible for return.
